Last Friday Google launched a new update affecting the ranking of many website rankings.

This change was directed to Exact Match Domains (hence EMD), in other words website who’s domain name matched the search.

In the past if your url contained the exact keywords of the search being done you’d get a boost in ranking on those exact searches; well, since Friday, this is no longer the case.

If your site suddenly dropped ranking because of the EMD update this means that the ranking you had came from the domain name and not actual good content well optimized.

Now it’s time to do what should have been done in the first place which is creating good content, well optimized, that readers love.
